Michigan Elite Sports Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the AthletesSuite Academy platform (“the Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Service.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and role (coach, trainer, student, or parent) when you register.
• Athlete data: physical performance metrics, attendance records, nutrition logs, and goal progress entered by staff or athletes.
• Health & fitness data: if you connect a Google Fit or Apple Health account, we receive workout and activity data you explicitly authorize.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken within the Service, and browser/device type for diagnostic purposes.

3. How we use your information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To display athlete performance data to authorized coaches, trainers, and parents.
• To calculate algorithm-based performance scores and trends.
• To send transactional emails (account invitations, weekly digests) where you have opted in.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Google user data

If you connect a Google account for health data integration, we access only the fitness and activity data you explicitly authorize via Google OAuth. This data is used solely to populate your training metrics within the Service. We do not share Google user data with any third party except as required to operate the Service (e.g., our database provider). You may revoke access at any time from your Google account settings or within the Service under Settings → Devices.

Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data storage and security

Data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies that restrict each user to only the records they are authorized to view. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. Some records may be retained for a limited period for legal or audit purposes.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is designed for use by sports academies and may include athletes under the age of 13. Athlete accounts for minors are created and managed by academy staff or parents/guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent obtained through the academy.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice within the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
